We are 4 girls, grandma Sue, mom Steph, and 2 daughters, Brittney and
Chloe, who show Paint horses!

Susan started showing horses in her youth, mostly in 4H and Open shows, on
her tobiano Pinto mare, named "Paint". When she got older, she and her
husband started raising Paints and showing at APHA shows. When her
daughter, Steph, was old enough, they began showing together. Steph also
started out at 4H and Open shows, but quickly added APHA shows to her
schedule.
As a Youth, one of Steph's favorite horses to show was Casas April Daisy (April). Together they won many awards in 4H, Open and
APHA shows. One of the awards Steph is most proud of is earning their APHA Superior Youth Western Pleasure. April was born in
1984, we raised her from a foal, and she is still with us today.
Fast forward several years, and now Steph is the mother of 3 children, Brittney, Trevor and Chloe. Although Trevor is not
interested in the horses (sports and ATVs are his interests), Brittney and Chloe are horse lovers and enjoy showing. Brittney started
out on, none other than, Casas April Daisy - her mothers favorite horse! April was 20 years old by that time, so although April was a
good horse for Brittney to learn on, she quickly moved on to a younger horse, and we let April retire for good.
Currently, Brittney is showing a Paint mare, Sheza Stylin Too (Xena). They have
worked hard together and have become a great team. Recently they earned their
APHA Youth Championship, and APHA Superior Youth Showmanship. They also
have several ROMs and other awards, which you can read more about on Xena's
page.
Chloe is quickly becoming a very good rider, and has moved from Leadline classes
to Walk-Trot. Right now (2009) she is sharing Brittney's horse, Xena, but she is
hoping Brittney will move on to a different horse real soon! We do have a couple
of up and coming prospects for Brittney to choose from, so this year may be their
last year together, and Chloe may get her wish!
2009 is a busy year for all of us. Along with the horse showing, Susan was elected Secretary of the Nebraska Paint Horse Club
(NPHC), Steph was elected Vice President. Brittney was elected President of the Nebraska Junior Paint Horse Club, and Chloe was
elected as a Director. There's lots of work, but LOTS of FUN too, and we're all looking forward to what the future holds.
